How Rose Rauch handled the Minnesota Nursing Strike 2016
A crisis leader is a person who is looked upon to resolve a given incidence (Boin, Stern,
& Sundelius, 2016). They are supposed to give motivation, plans, and directions to the subjects.
A crisis leader should have some traits that include not panicking and making tough decisions
under immense pressure presented by a crisis. A nursing strike is a crisis that can cost lives and
should only happen in very reasonable situations. Minnesota experienced a nurses’ strike in
2016. The strike exceeded one month. Rose Rauch was looked upon to resolve the crisis by both
the nurses and the government (Boin, Stern, & Sundelius, 2016). Rose Rauch proved to be a
crisis leader of metal given the circumstances of the strike and the outcome.
