If a hundred chickens eat a hundred bushels of grain in a hundred days, how many bushels will ten chickens eat in ten day?  And, if on average, one and a half of these chickens lay an egg and a half in a day and a half, how many days will it take a chicken to lay one and a half dozen eggs?

How could you solve this problem for any number of chickens?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

The ratio is 100 : 100 : 100,  which is the same as 10: 10: 10.  So the first answer is 10 bushels.

For the next part, the ratio is 1.5 : 1.5 : 1.5 : 1.5,  which is the same as 1 : 1 : 1

One and half dozen eggs is 18 eggs,  so it will take 18 days.

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
