Unit 3 Project
Gender-Career IAT VariablesPlease follow the directions and read them carefully. Quantitative Variable: IAT-Gender-Career Categorical Variable: Assoc-Gen-Career (Choose which of these two variables is most interesting to you.) IAT-Gender-Career-Score: Score on the Gender-Career IATAssoc-Gen-Career: How strongly do you associate career with males and females? 1=Strongly female; 2=Moderately female; 3=Slightly female; 4=Neither male nor female; 5=Slightly male; 6=Moderately male; 7=Strongly malePROMPTTo respond to the following items, use the quantitative variable and JUST ONE of the categorical variables listed above. You choose which of the two categorical variables you want to analyze.Use concepts from Unit 3 to describe the distribution of the quantitative variable grouped by the categorical variable. Then make comparisons and draw conclusions.Make an appropriate graph and provide appropriate numerical summaries.Embed your StatCrunch graph in your response, and be sure to include the Alt Text. Complete each of the following to make the graph more meaningful to the reader.Include a meaningful title above your graph.Underneath your graph, describe the variables represented in the graph.Below your graph, provide a key for the numerical category labels in your graph. Hint: see the category descriptions for your categorical variable in the variable descriptions list for your IAT data set above. Copy and paste the StatCrunch table of numerical summaries into your response. To make it easier for the reader to understand your table, replace any numerical category labels with meaningful words. Hint: see the category descriptions for your categorical variable in the variable descriptions list for your IAT data set above.Choose two or three groups of the categorical variable that are most interesting to compare. Then use percentages and descriptions of center and spread to make comparisons. What do the data suggest? For example, is a particular group from the categorical variable more likely to have a higher/lower IAT score?Use the data to support your answer.Interpret the result in context. Hint: to learn how to interpret the IAT score, see the variable descriptions link for your IAT data set (included in the Variables section above). https://www.statcrunch.com/app/index.php?dataid=37...

MAT 144 Grand Canyon University Modified Version of Technology Worksheet
Hello Class, and Happy Monday!USE THE TEMPLATE ATTACHED TO THIS POST RATHER THAN THE TEMPLATE IN ALEKS. THE TEMPLATE INCLUDES INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE DQ.For this DQ, you’ll complete a modified version of Technology Assignment 1 in Lesson 3-1 of the textbook in ALEKS, for which you’ll look at the empirical vs. theoretical probabilities of rolling a given number on a multi-sided die.Download the attached template (“QR 3-1 Tech Template MODIFIED.xlsx”) and follow the instructions in the text box to complete the Excel. In this case, the ALEKS video may not provide that much help. Here is a video I made to help! Here are some additional hints for completing the DQ:Hint #1: The RANDBETWEEN() function used in cell B2 will be invoked each time you make a change in the Excel sheet, so your Frequency and Empirical Probability column entries in E2:F16 will keep updating as you change the worksheet. This is normal.Hint #2: Use these steps to copy and paste the contents of cells E2:F16 by value:Select the range of cells E2:F16, then press Copy. Now right-click in the top-left cell that you’ll be copying to (either D21 or F21), and then select the “By Value” option (the clipboard with “123” underneath it) from the Paste Options section of the right-click menu.Once you have copied-and-pasted the cell contents, the values in the cells that you’re copying to should no longer change. Here’s a link to a video that may also help with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbRQBse3Ob0.Hint #3: For your response comparing the empirical probability with 1,000 rolls against the empirical probability with 4,000 rolls, what you should do is compare each set of empirical probabilities against the theoretical probabilities in cells G2:G16. Which group of empirical probabilities is, on average, closer to the theoretical probabilities? (How would you be able to quantify “closer” in this case?) How might the number of rolls be contributing to this result?I hope this helps; feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
