Innovation is not disruptive. In deed, it is creation in progress. Many companies in the U.S and all over the world have used innovation as a very effective tool to bridge the gap between their existing products and the expectation of their customers. On the other hand, innovation involves commitment of large amounts of money which is not directly used in production and thus, if the intended goal is not achieved after an innovation mission it leads to huge losses to the companies.

Reverse innovation greatly impacts on consumers. Consumers expect that their wants are better taken care of after an innovation process and thus reverse innovation leaves them unsatisfied.
