Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Well, we synthesize information in various ways when we read.  Now I am going to discuss 3 of them that are very common to reading comprehension.  Now when we draw conclusions we are reading based on context, we draw conclusions based on the setting and mood of the writer and the reaction of the characters, which is very important.  Based on the conclusions that we draw we can make generalizations about the reasons why a certain event happens in the story that we may be reading.  We read for certain details about the main character and the overall plot of what we are reading.

These are the three main reading strategies that we use when we are reading and writing and we can draw much from these kinds of strategies and be able to synthesize much information from what we read just by using these three reading strategies mentioned.

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
