A reaction is second order in A with a rate constant of 0.039/ M s.  The concentration of A was 0.30 M after 23 seconds.  What was the initial concentration of A?  Assume the stoichiometric coefficient for A is 1.

a = initial conc , a-x = conc after 23 sec = 0.3M
0.039 = 1/23 [1/0.3- 1/a]
a = 0.41 M = initial conc of A
