(4c)² - (6)²

= 16c² - 36    answer

or you multiply out in full:

(4c + 6) (4c -6)

= 4c (4c -6) + 6 (4c -6)   using distributive property

= 16c² - 24c + 24c - 36

= 16c²  - 36
