Calculating Variance- Statistics

The mean of a test is 80 and the standard deviation is 5. How do you calculate the variance? I just don't understand where to even start the problem.

Variance is just the square of the standard deviation. So, in this case, if the stand deviation is 5 then the variance is 5^2 = 25.
