Now It seems to be a complete question. See , man has invested \$205000 in three properties. Let tge common multiple be x. So when he invests \$ x in the property at 12% Then amount Invested at 8% is \$ 2x. So remain amount = \$205000- (2x+x)= \$205000-3x that he invests in 10% . Now income from 12% rate = 12x/100 \$ . Income from 8% rate = 16x/200\$. Income from 10% = 205000-3x/10 \$. Now total annual income = 12x/100+16x/100+(205000-3x)/10 = 19700  or (12x+16x+2050000-30x)/100 =19700  or  -28x+2050000 = 1970000 or 28x=2050000-1970000 or 28x=80000 or x= 80000/28 or x=20000/7.  Now you can calculate the value of each property earnings by putting value of x.
