Early life

Kathleen Cleaver, née, Kathleen Neal was conceived in Memphis, Texas. Her guardians were both school graduates. Her dad was a humanism educator at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, and her mom earned a graduate degree in science. Not long after Kathleen was conceived, her dad, Ernest Neal, acknowledged an occupation as the executive of the Rural Life Council of Tuskegee Institute in Alabama.
