"nitrogen gas can be produced by reacting Na3N with chlorine gas. If the reaction was carried out at STP with 34.8 g of Na3N, what volume of nitrogen gas can be produced? " also "2 Na3N +3 Cl2 ---> 6 NaCl + N2 "

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Moles of Na3N reacting= Mass/molar mass=34.8/83=0.419mol

Moles of N2 produced=(1/2)*Moles of Na3N from reaction stoichiometry.

=(1/2)*0.419=0.2095 mol

Volume of N2=No of moles*Molar volume of ideal gas at STP

=0.2095*22.4=4.6928 ltr
