For the students that were in class and did the labs, please answer #4 and #13 AND the
bottom two questions that were based off the lab.

Using the class notes, text book, web sites, etc. please do the following:
-Page 203 #4: Compare and contrast multiprocessing and concurrent processing.
Describe the role of process synchronization for both systems.
Multiprocessing: is the computer runs multiple processes system at the same
time, there are independent threads are running. For example when share resources for
database records. concurrent processing, is the computer runs multiple processes but
not at same time
-Page 251 #13: Explain in your own words the relationship between buffering and
spooling. Suggest reasons why some people confuse the two.
****In reference to Lab #3, please explain what TID, PRI, Cswitch and State are. Why
did the context switch number change when we changed the priority level of a process?
*****Overall, explain what you learned in each lab.
