exists between the numbers of hours worked by individuals in the sample and the national
mean of 43 hours. There was a significant difference in the number of hours worked in the
sample(M=45.63, SD=10.63) from the national average; t(1496)=9.56, p=.000. Since the pvalue was smaller than .01, we reject the null hypothesis at the 99% confidence level. Thus,
