Technology has brought a change in the way most citizens receive, interpret and even
react to new information. There has been a rampant evolution of many devices enabling many
consumers to access millions of portals of the various companies. Kotler describes the evolution
of market roles whereby these roles changed from product development to developing products
that enhanced customer satisfaction. In the future, marketing functions may become more diluted
with technological information and the result is the development of marketing tech teams. This is
because of the rampant use of mobile phones and therefore marketing will be charged with more
