With a new facility or renovation project and compliance requirements, would you suggest including a Sub-Committee to include patients for their input on the design? Would this make it too cumbersome, and why?
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
The 21st century medical realms can be very challenging if patients are not involved in making healthcare decisions which affect them. With a new facility or renovation project and compliance requirements, i would thus suggest including patients for their input of the design. This will ensure that the patients are empowered and have the confidence in the hospital. It will also lead to a better design as the views of the patients would have being considered. It is no doubt that this would make the process quite cumbersome. This is so because taking the input of a a good representative sample of all the patients would be quite hard and thus a cumbersome process. However, the results are usually better and thus the advantages far much outweighs the disadvantages.
