Find the x-intercepts (if any) for the graph of the quadratic function. 6x^2 + 12x + 5 = 0 Give your answers in exact form. Show your work.

6x^2 + 12x + 5 = 0

use quadratic equation to find x;

x = -12+/-square-root(12^2-4*6*5)/2*6

   = (-12+/-square-root(144-120))/12

   =(12+/-square-root(24))/12

     =(12+/-square-root(4)*square-root(6))/12

     =(-12+/-2*square-root(6))/12

Now two solutions for x

x1=(-12+2*square-root(6))/12=-1+square-root(6)/6=(-1+1/square-root(6))


x2=(-12-2*square-root(6))/12 = -1-square-root(6)/6 = (-1-1/square-root(6))
