Impressionist Painting: In
what aspects of European life were the Impressionists interested? Is it
accurate to say that these artists were more concerned with paint than
with what was painted? If so, why? If not, why?
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
in the 1980s the first there came the first group of artists came up with the first independent group show. they had painting so different from the others and when an opportunity came up fro artists to sell their work, they stack their painting close together on the walls. These impressionist were not concerned with what they painted. they had a goal of making people understand the value of color. They tried to show how the sky is not fresh butter and so forth.they didn't care much about what they painted but how they painted. this is because, the violated the rules of academic painting where they painted realistic scenes and often did it outdoors.
