Introduction
The school that was identified in week one is a public school. Being a public school,
there are diverse students in the school based on grade level, gender, and race. These diversities
create gaps among the teacher, students, community and families. This is a problem that is
further been exploded by the poor communication lines in the school. There are some disparities
that arise in terms of educational outcomes when students from minority groups based on race
and income as compared to the students from the superior groups. Therefore, there is a need to
develop student population data by grade levels including gender and race, student population
receiving special services, attendance rates of students, the percentage of students entering the
school and withdrawing, and develop strategies for creating a greater sense of community in the
school.
Discussion
Demographic Composition of Students and Parents
The student composition in the modern US classroom is more ethnically and racially
diverse. There are about 76 million students enrolled in US schools (United States Census
Bureau, 2018). This composition is further narrowed down to public schools which have seen the
white student’s population decreasing and becoming a new minority in public schools as
compared to previous years (Chen, 2018). This is a fact that is further corroborated by the
