the base the triangle is four more then its height .if the area of the triangle is 49 square centimeters,find its base and height?

For a triangle,

A=1/2*(4+h)*h=49

now solve for h

i.e. (4+h)*h=98

or,4h+h^2-98=0

or,h^2+4h-98=0

by solving this quadratic eq. 

the value of h will be approx 8cm, -12cm
