There is epistrophe: the repetition of we – not for emphasis but rather to put the emphasis on the actions done by the group: playing hooky, drinking, gambling.

3. The use of simple language that the actions of the group are natural, even logical., almost like an enthymeme, which is an informally stated syllogism. A syllogism would be something like this:
Living is a struggle.
All humans live.
All humans struggle.
“So why not enjoy yourself while you can,” is the message.
