An aircraft has taken off from a runway with an angle of 12 degrees and a constant velocity of 260 km/h in the direction of travel. How many meters of elevation does it gain per second and how long will it take to travel a horizontal distance of 1 km?

260km/h*1000/3600=72.22m/s

elevation=vsin(12)=72.22*sin(12)=15.01m/s

horizontal velocity=vcos(12)=72.22*cos(12)=70.64m/s

1km=1000m

time=distance/velocity     =>     time=1000/70.64=14.15s
