suggested outcome, then state roughly where you will go)

Category One: represent the philosophical point in paper.

Category Two: advance the logical investigation of some aspect of the philosophical point in a “pro” or “con” evaluative stance?

Category Three: connect the abstract philosophical point to some events in the contemporary world in which the student lives?

THOUGHT EXPERIMENT 7.1 You are a college student. Your parents live in the Midwest and you bought some new clothes that you felt were trendy for college on the East Coast. Now say that what you thought was trendy and would send a positive message to everyone who saw you, actually made everyone laugh and declare you to be a freak from some rural farm. You go to your closet and gather your new clothes and stuff them in your storage trunk - not to see the light of day until you go home for the summer. What's happened? On a sheet of paper, try to describe the relationship between the Midwest stu- dent and her new wardrobe. Are the clothes attractive or not? Upon what do you base your judgement? This thought experiment moves us directly into the problem with art: how do we decide which art is good and which art is bad? Let's say (to make things a bit more difficult) that if the Midwest student had worn her clothes where she bought them that people would have been impressed. The people in the East weren't impressed. Who is right and why? One quick way to respond to these queries is to return to the theories of truth presented in Part II. If we consider the correspon- dence theory of truth, then the clothes via their fabrication display principles of design that connect or do not connect to something like the Platonic form of the Beautiful. If there is verisimilitude between object and form, then it is truly beautiful – no matter what anyone says. If there isn't, then no amount of popular praise will make the artifact truly beautiful. Art under this approach is judged according to some universal standards. A second approach would be to judge art through the coherence theory of truth. Under this approach, there are certain random posits

Philosophical Judgment on Beauty
Introduction
Stating Con of a Suggested Outcome in the Case.
The great philosophers think there is beauty in everything. What "normal" people
perceive it as ugly when you can usually see there is something of beauty in it. People face
challenges when they use fashion as armor to survive the reality of everyday life. Regarding the
verdict of the case in question, the student had the conviction that her trendy clothes from the
Midwest would bring the best outlook in her while she settles in new City. It is so; unfortunately,
that plan worked against her wishes to impress people on the East coast. People place much
attention to what they wear and make a comparison of clothes worn to assess whether they create
an impression on the mind of other people. Regardless of the geographical location and
disparities that exist between urban and rural setting, it’s vital to explore what people in other
area do and wear. Further, an individual will expect a simple compliment goes a long way for
any person to come over and say "you have a nice dress" or "I admire your dress" and smile and
walk away.
The thoughts that analyze and determines which art is good or bad art can be judged as
stereotypes, perception, and phantasm that subjects certain people to unfair public scrutiny. In
this regard, the con of the outcome in the student case suggests clothes were not attractive. More
so, the social judgment on what others wear exposes people to fear stimuli which eventually lead
to phobia and anxiety. Dwelling on the case, although people in the East were not impressed, I
don't see potential grounds to disapprove a student on the foreign city, "clothes made everyone to
laugh and declare her a freak from a rural farm." Such social behavior leads to the paradigmatic
