On-the-Go Phone Company had two monthly plans for their customers. The EZ pay plan costs $0.15 per minute. The 40 to Go Plan costs $40 per month plus $0.15 per minute. Write an equation that represents the monthly bill for x minutes on the EZ pay plan.

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Two plans:

(1) EZ pay plan: cost $ 0.15 per minute

(2) constant charge $ 40, plus $ 0.15 per minute

Let the cost per month be denoted C, the cost C depends on the number of minutes used per month

For EZ pay plan:

C(x) = 0.15 * x, dollars per month

For the On-the-Go plan

C(x) = 40 + 0.15 x , dollars per month
