Deploying effective leadership styles is important for organizations to achieve their goals
and maximize efficiency. Good leadership drives the efforts of the stakeholders towards the
achievement of objectives. Situational leadership theories work by assuming that the most
effective style of leadership is the one that changes in different situations (Meier, 2016). This
paper will give details why the theory of situational leadership is important and relevant towards

Developing an Effective Culture of Leadership through the Situational Leadership
Theory
Situational leadership helps to build an effective culture of leadership because it allows
the organization leader to use different styles of leading employees (Meier, 2016). Leaders freely
adapt and change their style of leadership based on the current situation in the company. In
addition, it ensures that leaders adjust their style of guidance according to the employee’s
competence and their commitment to a task. This leadership theory is effective because it allows
