What is your central belief about the individual person?
It is imperative to note that every person has different beliefs which are equal to the beliefs of the
person about their potential. The implication here is that individuals have potential that might help
in enhancing a positive health outcome. Notably, the potential of a person is achieved through
being given certain biological or technical conditions. For instance, individuals in the nursing
profession can provide information with regards to certain conditions, and thus individuals can
process the information for healthy living. Therefore, every individual has potential as they can
use the knowledge that they access, through sensitization for a healthy life.
How does your personal worldview influence your approach to patients?
A personal worldview is basically what an individual interprets of reality. Based on personal
worldview, I think the care given to patients is unsatisfactory. This is because there is no
connection established between the patients and clinicians. The only interaction that clinicians
have with the patients is to get information about their conditions. Patients have unique needs and
history, and therefore physicians should approach patients in a way that allows the patients to
express their concerns openly. In this case, it is critical to seek the patients’ perspective when
providing treatment. This is because a positive relationship with the patients is critical in the
