Property law is the segment of law that manages the different forms of ownership and
tenancy. It is in charge of what is owned by an individual or an entity. This means that it only has
interests in personal properties such as transfer of property, the right of ownership among others.
Tort law is the segment of law that protects an individual from the bad acts of others. This means
that when an individual commits a tort, they are violating civil law. The purpose of this law is to
ensure that wrongdoers are punished or pay for the damage they cause to the victims (McGuire,
2018).
Family law is the legal practice that involves family-related matters such as child
custody, divorce, adoption among others. Families hire attorneys who represent them in the
