Description
Aesop's Fables are probably the best known, and most widely read of all fables.
The U S Library of Congress has collected many of them in an online book: The Aesop for Children. Don't get turned off by the title--my father likes to say, "everyone grows older--growing up is optional."
Read through at least four or five different fables--aim to read a variety of different stories, or try variants of one type (all foxes, etc.)
Write a short paragraph about what you see. What are the differences between fairy tales and fables (apart from the length)?
