The Indian General Election
The Indian general election takes place every five years. The General election transforms
the country with campaigns materials on every wall across the nation, political motions in all
chill spots and campaign rallies where many gather to listen to the agendas of the many political
aspirants (Dasgupta). The 2019 Indian general election is planned to take place from 11th April
2019 to 19th May 2019. The election will be held in seven different stages. The Indian 900
million citizens will have a chance to elect their representatives in a democratic election.
Members of the 17th Lok Sabha will be elected in the general election. The vote counting will
take place on 23rd May 2019 after which the outcome of the election will be announced (Schultz
and Kumar).
