As a global managing marketer for the www.walmart.com re-inventing and
remodeling the existing online content in terms of merchandise will probably pose a great
challenge in regard to having to align the needs of the company to those of the consumers
and providing a perfect fit for the virtual management of the different teams across the
globe working to see the success in the delivery of the various products to the customer.
For a virtual management implementation to work successfully it requires ultimate,
timely, effective and flexibility to attain a balance in the workforce. Therefore the change
to be implemented will need that the application of the fundamentals of good
management do apply where there are clear goals, conducting regular and strategic
meetings, having clear communication channels, providing team leverage among the
members to capitalize on an individual as well as collective strength.
The need for virtual management
While undertaking a phase-off to implement virtual management, there are
aspects that need to be considered such as having an effect as well as engaging content.
While taking the transition for the physical administrative or the traditional office set up,
there are certain mistakes that are often committed by many firms. It’s been noted that
often most firms do concentrate on the technological part of the virtual set up while
forgetting the need to give enough attention to providing an adapting content which is
effective in the virtual environment.
