Some people do not adopt the reading culture, and characteristics appear in various
forms. For instance, students will give flimsy excuses to avoid reading. On top of that, they have
a negative attitude associated with it. Therefore, this paper will provide an insight into why I
dislike the habit. Additionally, it will incorporate how the application of principles of fluency
and disfluency converge to assist me in developing a liking to read. Finally, it will address why
familiarizing me with the reading culture would influence my perception.
To begin with, I do not like reading since I find it hard paying attention to one area. Not
unless I am very interested or the subject is exciting, I can spend a lot of time on one page. On
top of that, I find myself wandering off when I get something to read. For instance, when it
comes to schoolwork, I have to reread something many times, so that I can complete
assignments. Being forced to read by my teachers also contributes to my dislike to read. Another
factor that plays a significant role in my distaste to reading is that I find it time-consuming. I hate
the idea of reading something for long yet I can only read the introduction, abstract, and
conclusion and know what the piece ...
