For each of the works, describe what you see. Explain how the artists’ use of the formal elements work create meaning in the work. What do you think the artists are trying to say with each of the works?How does each work connect with the different movements of the 1960’s and 1970’s. Paper should be well supported with examples from artwork.

Response Paper #3—Worth 100 points Look at each of the two works of art provided and complete a formal analysis of each of the works. (~2-3 pages) For each of the works, describe what you see. Explain how the artists’ use of the formal elements work create meaning in the work. What do you think the artists are trying to say with each of the works? In the first image, I see an illustration of people in a restaurant either taking meals or
perusing through the menu of the restaurant. A boundary separates the five people into two
groups of three and two people on both sides of the painting. The painting is in two dimensions
illustrations and can only be viewed from one angle. The piece of art has incorporated both mass
and volume to make it a complete form and object in the eyes of the audience.
