the temperature of an organism greatly influences it's respiration .on many occasions the higher the temperature the greater the rates of respiration and the lower the temperature the lower the rates of respirations.warm blooded and cold blooded organisms are affected differently by temperature changes on their rates of respiration.cold-blooded even undergo a period of dormancy to reduce energy loss to the surroundings.the squirrel is a warm-blooded animal and its activities are increased by higher rates of respiration.a scorpion is a cold blooded animal, therefore its activities will greatly reduced when the temperatures lowers the rates of respirations ,that is the main difference on activity between the squirrel and the scorpion upon change in temperatures.
