I need help with a math problem.

Hi, I been working on 2 dang problems like all day. I know what the answers are, but I'm obviously doing something wrong.

First one: 16 +5 (20 divided by 4 x 8-3) . The answer is 201

Second one: 22-4 (sq. root of 25 - 3) exponent 2. The answer is 6

I need to know how these problems were simplified?  Thank you.

Hello

To start I'll post images of the equations to make sure sure following the same calculation order

To the first question do you mean the answer is 21?

Further simplification

(21)* (20/(4*5)

(21)*(20/20)

20/20 divides out to 1, so

=21*1

=21

Not sure if the textbook answers are right, verify if it matches this equation image

Hmm never mind that graphing calculator improperly checked things

Simplifying

18* (sqrt(25) - 3 ) ^2

18* (25-9)

18 * (16)

= 288
