It is my opinion that the individual responsible for researching and identifying flaws in the GM vehicles should be a contracted service with a third party company in order to ensure that ethical research is conducted and results of that research be provided not just to GM but made public knowledge within a determined period of time. It could be a conflict of interest to employ someone to conduct the research related to a safety inspection.

I agree with the idea that third party companies should be responsible for researching and inspecting the quality of GM vehicles. An outside party would be unbiased towards the company and focus on the best interests of the consumer. An individual who is employed by GM would most likely be more concerned about the people supplying their paychecks than the customers buying the products.
