Managers and executive training help in acquiring valuable skills that are critical in

aims at acquiring skills that are essential in implementing the business strategies identified by the
executives (Noe, 2006). The executives require training in the formulation of broader business
strategies that will be implemented by the line and functional managers in the organization
(Swart, Mann, Brown & Price, 2012). In this case, functional managers require training on
leadership, human resource management skills, communication skills, and negotiation skills. The
executive training differs from the functional management training since it caters for the strategic
