followed by the different people in the given organization. Some organizations usually
have written specifications of the way things ought to be done at all times
while some firms may not have it in written form. Generally, a code of ethics
is such a written specification specifying the way things should be done in the
organization at all given moments. Thus, a code of ethics is a document
outlining different aspects like the values of the firm, its mission, the way
to approach different challenges and the standards the different stakeholders
of the firm must uphold.
The code of conduct can generally help a nonprofit organization
by setting the standards to be adhered to. This means it actually brings
harmony in the organization as the different parties understand what to do from
