Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

2-10x=(3x-7)(x+1)

first we need to expand the equation on the right

2-10x=(3x(x+1) -7(x+1)

2- 10x= 3x^2 + 3x-7x-7

2-10x= 3x^2 -4x -7

3x^2 -4x + 10x -7 -2 = 0

3x^2 + 6x -9 = 0

3x^2 + 9x-3x -9 =0

3x(x+3) -3(x+3 )=0

(3x-3) (x+3 )    = 0

3x= 3           or x+3 = 0

x= 3/3   or x= -3

x= 1 or -3
