Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Step 1: The number that has an x with it, keep it by itself; meaning it shoudlnt be adding or subtracting with another number. So:

(2/5)+(2/3)=1/5 x

Step 2:Now add the fractions on the left side:

first find a common denominator which is 15.

so by adding the fractions you get 16/15.

Step 3:

Now because on the right side the x is multiplying with 1/5; to move it to left side you divide it; because anything divided by itself is 1. But anything you do on one side of the equals sign, you HAVE to do on other side of equal sign.

(16/15)/(1/5)=x

Step 4:

Now you just divide 16/15 by 1/5. If you have calculator then very easy. But if not:

(16/15)/(1/5)..so you then to bring bottom fraction up; you reverse it. Making int (16/15) times (5/1) which equals (by multiplying the numerator and then the denominator) 80/15.

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
