In the presented study the effects of the carbon content and alloying elements on the
hardenability of steel was investigated. Namely, the effects of alloying on 1018 and
1045 were determined.

many industrial applications. When the iron and carbon are combined and made steel
alloy, the mechanical properties of such material can be used in many structural
applications. In this alloy, the iron is the main constituent while carbon is the main
