The method by which Texas judges get to the bench is only one method of judicial selection. Describe some of the alternative means of appointing or electing state judges. What has Texas done to ameliorate some of the problems with judicial elections?

I concur with you that there are several ways through which a state judge can be chosen.
However, in Texas, there is only one way, and it is through the appointment by the governor with
the consent of the Senate. In other states, one the ways through which state judges are chosen is
through the partisan elections. It involves the electing of the judges through the ballot and usually
