WU Week 3 Regulating the Quality and Quantity of Health Care Questions
Understanding the Effects of Supply and Demand on Cost, Quality, and Access
How do you ensure quality in health services organizations? What tools might a health care administration leader use to ensure quality measures are present in a health services organization? As a current or future health care administration leader, your understanding of how to use and implement appropriate tools for quality in your health services organization will be important for the delivery of effective and quality health services.
For this Assignment, review the resources for this week that are specific to supply, demand, equilibrium, break-even analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.

In your first post to the discussion respond to each of the following numbered items.Watch Nike’s Michael Jordan Failure Commercial (30 sec) and then respond to the question.
In this video, what is the main point of Michael Jordan’s message? You should be able to state his main point in one short sentence! Now watch Nike’s Michael Jordan Maybe It’s My Fault Commercial (1 min 2 sec) and then respond to the question.
In this video, what is the main point of Michael Jordan’s message, and how is it related to the main point in his Failure video? You should be able to state his main point in one short sentence as well! What is the main point of the Annie Murphy’s blog post: When and How to Let Learner’s Struggle? You should be able to state her main point in one short sentence! From the reading, what are the three conditions that promote beneficial struggle? How are the messages in the article and the Michael Jordan videos related?Do any of your instructors use the three conditions that promote beneficial struggle? If so, explain how and give examples. If not, use this space to write a quick note to a generic instructor explaining the value of productive failure and how to set up the three conditions that promote beneficial struggle in the classroom learning environment. If you're comfortable sharing with your group, give an example in your own life where failure has been productive and actually contributed to your success (your instructor will read your response to this question as well). If you're not comfortable sharing a personal example, share how you plan to address setbacks in this class so that they contribute to your success.

depressed individuals volunteered to participate in the study, which lasted 9

design in 4-5 sentences.

Does the OTR time appear to be stable, statistics homework help
The data in below table lists country code and the order to remittance (OTR) time for hardware / software installations for the last 76 installations (from first to last). OTR is the time it takes from an order being placed until the system is installed and we receive payment (remittance). Because this company does business internationally, it also notes the country of installation using a country code. This code is listed in the first column.Use the date in table above and answer the following questions in the space provided below:Does the OTR time appear to be stable? Why or why not?If you were to use a control chart to evaluate stability, which chart would you use? Why?What can you learn about the distribution of the installation process? Does it appear that the country has an impact on installation time? Why or why not?

Hypothesis testing
Hypothesis testing can be important when developing performance standards for your subordinates. Each of you will be a manager, and each of you will therefore need to develop performance standards which will clearly allow you (and your subordinate) to agree as to whether or not the subordinate met your requirement. You do not want to end a rating period with disagreement on the subordinate’s performance, and you do not want to lose a grievance to upper management should the subordinate appeal your performance rating. (A subordinate certainly has every right to appeal, but you should never lose an appeal!) Suppose that you are manager of a restaurant, and need to develop a series of performance standards for each member of your staff. The restaurant is a full-service restaurant, with seated customers, menus, a hostess to meet customers and seat customers, etc. Examples might include Joe Theismann’s, an IHOP, an Outback Steakhouse, etc. For this case study, develop one measurable, numeric performance standard for a member of the wait staff. Then show how you could take a random sample of 30 readings of the performance and develop a hypothesis test using the t statistical method to determine, at 95% confidence, if the performance standard was met. List 30 notional (hypothetical) “readings” and calculate a corresponding notional t-test to show how your subordinate hypothetically performed. You will need to calculate the sample mean, sample standard deviation, use the t table in the back of the book, etc., to complete the analytics. You must use Excel to log your data and perform many or all of your analytics, and you will submit your Excel file (and any other files you may find convenient to submit such as photos of your calculations if done long-hand). This may be a one-tail test. At the 95% confidence level, using the notional data, can you conclude that the subordinate is meeting your standard.
