Find the slope of the line that passes through the given pair of points.

(2, 2) and (8, 5)

The slope of a line is given by the change in y divided by the change in x

In the question at hand, the original value of 2 while the new value is 8. The original value of y is 2 while the new value is 5.  The change can be represented as follows

Change in y = >  5-2=3

Change in x =>  8-2=6

The Slope is therefore equal to  3 divided by 6

=3/6

=1/2
