2x − 3y = 18

3x + 2y = 25

2x − 3y = −18

LCM of 2 and 3 = 6

(3x + 2y = 25)*3

(2x − 3y = −18)*2

9x + 6y = 75

4x - 6y= -36

add the two. 

13x = 39

x = 39/13

x = 3

substitute in one of equations 

3x3 + 2y = 25

2y = 25 - 9

2y = 16 

y = 16/2

y = 8
