y=a(x-h)^2+k

vertex at (h, k ) = (1, 5)

y=a(x-1)^2+5

passes through the point (2, 7)

7=a(2-1)^2+5

7-5=a

a=1

y=(x-1)^2+5=x^2-2x+1+5=x^2-2x+6

so a=1   b=-2   c=6
