Please help me to Evaluate this expression and explain each step in words.

If x = 4, what is the value of 2|3x-16|

2|3x-16| means that the we need to take the absolute value of 3x-16 and then multiply by 2. 

The absolute value is always zero or a positive number, thus we should the negative sign for the answer if any.

Thus If x=4, then 2|3(4)-16|  = 2|-4| = 2*4 = 8

Thus, for x =4, then the solution to the equation is 8.
