You are required to prepare a report on the chosen company. The report should conform the following:

▪ Identify the key structure of corporate governance of the chosen company, and in your own words describe if this structure good or bad.
▪ Identify the CSR activities conducted by the chosen company.

An overview about the company and the industry in which it operates
Al Madina for Finance and Investment Company is a Shariah-compliant private equity firm,
which specializes in buyouts and direct investment. It’s a company whose main aim is to provide
financial assistance to both individual and companies. The company aims at providing equity
help by merging with other companies or even through acquisition. Any company that is
Shariah-compliant must work under strict laws that will be looked into every time the company
gets into a deal with another company (Alam, 2017). A company that is aimed at providing
equity help will barely look into what its gaining at first as compared to helping other companies
grow. The company also aims at working with smaller companies through merger so they can
help them finance their activities and other services when it comes to handling of the business.
There is also the issue of putting more investment as compared to the smaller company. Through
a merger, the company is able to gain responsibility in handling the activities may be as a whole
or most part of the company shares. The company`s main area as per the moment involves
various dockets. The first one involves direct investments whereby the company will invest their
funds and other resources to a certain business which they see feasible. For instance, if Al
Madina for Finance and Investment Company hears about a business opportunity in the country,
they will do a market research and if the business opportunity is feasible, they will invest. The
direct investment means that the company will be controlling the shares they invest in the
company. The direct investment may be part or a whole of the business depending on the terms
