absence of disease. The concept of health-illness continuum places the dimension of individual
health-illness on a continuum that consists of two related dimensions such as the dimension of
subjective distress and the degree of dysfunction. Human wellbeing consists of more than simply
the absence of disease but also the individual’s mental and emotional health (Henriques, 2015).
Health, therefore, is a human experience where individual perceptions contribute to a person’s
