it is neccessary to have 40% antifreeze solution in the raditor of a certain car. the raditor now has 40 liters of 20% solution. How many liters of this should be drained and replaced with 100% antifreeze to get the desired strength

amount to be left in car will be 40-x

100% x + 20% (40-x) = 40% * 40

x+ 8 - 0.2x = 16 

x-0.2x= 16-8

0.8x= 8

x= 8/0.8
