Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

According to Machiavelli, the ideal political leader should be a ruthless prince. he should do this to ensure that the subjects do not question his ability to rule over them. Secondly, the ideal political leader should be cunning and furious at the same time. This is a mark of flexibility. In being flexible, he should be like a lion and also like a fox, he says. thirdly, the ideal leader should be able to hide his wrath. This is by seeming to be just while in the real sense he is ruthless. through this, the people will come to love him. Lastly, Machiavelli depicts the Prince, the ideal political leader as being dishonest. the leader tells the people what they want to hear even though he will not do it.
