Description

i need simple statement of support before each quote just one line not complicated .

A. Censoring of books that tackle complex issues such as gender and sexuality denies the learners a chance to read and understand these subjects. This is supported by ‘’book banning’’ article which states that censorship of books ‘’created an undue burden on the students trying to access the books'' (Book Banning 3). According to Young Melisa, ‘'children should begin exploring mature and controversial topics at a young age to advance their education and better prepare them for the challenges encountered in adulthood'' (Young 1). What the authors here asserts is that books should not be censored on account of containing controversial content. It is also noted that ‘’censorship and discourage students from reading and self-expression’’ (Book Banning 3)

B. Book censorship violates the 1st amendment to the constitution on freedom of speech. In the ‘'Book Banning'' article, it is noted that ‘' the board must consider the students' First Amendment rights when deciding to remove a book and that restricting the availability of a book based on its content violated those rights’’( Book Banning 3). This idea is also supported by Young in her article when she observes that readers should be allowed access to “information from all points of view without restriction"(Young 2). This means that censorship should only be on reasonable grounds.it is also feared that book censorship "can lead authors to censor their ideas'' (Book Banning 1).

C. However, censorship may be necessary for some instances to give parents, teachers and other caregivers’ confidence that the books available in the library for their children meet the community standards. This argument is supported by ‘’Banning Book’’ where it is stated that ‘’some educators and parents support the removal of these books because they believe the medium inherently lacks cultural or academic value'' (Banning Book 4). Young also noted that one could censor a book ‘'if you want to pique their interest'' (Young 4).

Outline
Censorship of Books
I. Introduction:

different reasons. In some instance, the books are censored by parents who feel
that the content therein is offensive, mature or controversial for their children to
read. In some other instances, it may be done by the government to influence the
way people think and practice democratic ideas. Some of the reasons advanced
for books censorship lacks merit and cannot stand the reasonability test.
A. Thesis:
Censorship of books is not worth given that there is some form of intellectual
freedom ideal which although difficult to implement in publicly, it is still a worth
ideal which forms the core of a civilize...
